Hello All, The weather seems to be on our side, so we will continue cycle club this weekend sat/sun 7th & 8th December and next weekend sat/sun 14th & 15th. This will be the last session before we break up for xmas. Keep checking the blog page for information and dates on when clubs will resume again in the new year.

Due to popular demand we have decided to continue running kids cycle club during the month of November…weather dependent!!
Clubs/Dates & locations are as follows:
Saturday 8+s Club 12.30 – 2pm at Twelveheads will run on the 9th,16th,23rd and 30th Nov (Please note on the 16th Nov the session will start and run at an earlier time of 11am – 12.30pm )
Wobblers at Heartlands: 11am – 12pm will run on 10th Nov, 17th,24th & 1st Dec.
Little Progress Makers club – The Great Flat Lode:12.30 – 1.30pm will run on 10th, 17th, 24th & 1st Dec.
Please remember that Clubs will NOT be running over half term: on Sat/Sun 25/26th October & Sat/Sun 2nd/3rd November.
Please give us plenty of warning if your child is unable to attend any sessions.

Sorry all but due to the weather especially the high winds, the wobblers club will not be going ahead today. Hopefully next Sunday will be better!!
We are moving our Sunday stabilizer group to heartlands as the grounds there are perfect for learning to ride a bike on! New Location – New Name!! Details are as follows: Session runs from 11am-12pm every Sunday term-time, meeting outside heartlands visitors centre. Cost -£5. Children to bring their own bike/helmet.
The group has been formed to help children gain confidence on a bike and learn skills and techniques and those on stabalizers to get them off!
The kids go back to school this week which means the start again of our Saturday kids cycle club on the 8th September. As previous, we will be running a 10am session for 6-8yr olds and 12.30pm session for 9+yr olds. Sessions run for 1hr30mins and cost £5.
Due to demand, we are asking for people to book in advance as we have a maximum number of 10 children per group. However we do not want to turn anyone away so are planning on running a late afternoon session – possibly 2.30pm for those that still want to get involved. This will be organised once we have names and numbers of those attending our normal sessions.
Please make sure your child comes with a rucksack packed with a snack and drink and waterproof jacket and gloves incase it turns cold or rains.
PLEASE CHECK OUR BLOG PAGE BEFORE EACH SESSION TO CHECK THAT THE SESSION IS STILL ON AND RUNNING. WE DONT LIKE TO CANCEL BUT SOMETIME DUE TO WEATHER WE HAVE TO. Heartlands is a new free visitor attraction and world heritage site which opened iin Spring 2012.

To understands the sheer magnitude of Cornish mining one needs to explore the wider mining landscape. What greater way to start your ride! Heartlands is situated between The Portreath branchline trail and The Great Flat Lode trail which makes up part of the mining trails network. These routes will take you through some of the most historically important mining landscapes in Cornwall.
ROUTES FROM HEARTLANDS INCLUDE:
The Ruins of South Wheal Frances – 6 miles, perfect for families with young ones.
The Great Flat Lode – 8 miles, for the more adventureous!
Tehidy/Portreath Beach trail -10 miles, Part Urban route.
The Great Cornish way – 30miles, Full day trail, for the Pro’s!
LOOK OUT FOR US AT HEARTLANDS IN THE VISITORS CENTRE: We will be promoting our services on a regular basis every week during the holidays. We are there to promote and answer any of your questions relating to the services we offer.
PLEASE ALLOW HALF A DAY BOOKING IN ADVANCE FOR BIKE HIRE as at present we do not have a hire shop at heartlands but run a bike delivery service for there. CALL AND WE WILL BRING BIKES TO YOU AT HEARTLANDS!!
Delivery and pick up times: Full day 9am – 5pm, Half day 9am – 1pm(Morning) or 1pm – 5pm(afternooon hire).

Stithians Lakeside cycle party: Includes – Two hour party; one hour cycle out on the trails followed by an outdoor/indoor picnic, then after food fun mountain bike games.
COST: £60. bring your own party food or for an extra £4 per head food included. Birthday cake and party bags not included.
Maximum 10 children. Own bike required (child bike hire available for £7).

Kids Club easter hols sessionsWe are running kids cycle club sessions at our HQ – stithians Lake during the school Easter Holidays the dates are as follows:
Tues 3rd, Wed 4th, Thurs 5th April and Tues 10th, wed 11th, thurs12th April.
The morning session is for 6-8 year olds and starts at 10am – 11.30am and the afternoon session is for 9-11year olds and starts at 12.30 – 2pm. Fee is £5.00 per session with your own bike or for an extra £7 you can hire a bike from us. Pay on the day for sessions attended! Please book a place in advance. You can book to join all sessions or individual ones to suit.

Children must have kit page which should iinclude a snack, drink. Waterproofs, gloves. Sensible footware is appropriate and be prepared that your child may get wet and muddy!
